Welcome to the Town of Fowler, New York

The town of Fowler is located in the southwest portion of St. Lawrence County.  It borders the towns of Rossie, Gouverneur, Hermon, Edwards, Pitcairn and the Jefferson County town of Antwerp.

The town was formed in 1816 and named for Theodosius Fowler (1753-1841).  Fowler, a local landowner, was a captain in the American Revoution.

The Oswegatchie River's main and west branches both flow through the town.  Several hydroelectric facilities and waterfalls are present on these waterways.  Fowler is also home to Sylvia Lake.
